ENJOY A UNIQUE GIN EXPERIENCE

On a gin experience with the Village Spirit Collective, you can expect an evening filled with laughter, fun and a lot of gin! You will learn how we create our craft gins first hand with a detailed tour of the distillery, during which you can ask our distiller and founder Ian anything you want to know about gin, how it’s made and the flavour combinations that make it taste irresistible.

On a Ginfluencer experience, you will experience first hand the process of choosing botanical ingredients that give gin its unique flavours and qualities, we guarantee that you will never look at a glass of gin and tonic in the same way again!

Experiences start from only £15 and includes a large G&T from our current gin range and a tour of the distillery. Take it a step further and explore botanicals and even blend your very own gin!

We are based in Hambledon in the Surrey Hills at The Old Coal Yard, GU84DR, alongside other independent small businesses and next door to a 16th Century Pub and countryside walks.

MEET THE MAKER

Ian, the owner and distiller, will welcome you to join him at his bar and start by enjoying a G&T made from gin distilled by Ian. He will explain his gin range and give you a taste of each.

DISTILLATION PROCESS

Ian produces our handcrafted spirits himself and will give you a detailed tour of our micro-batch distillery, explain the distillation process and what it means to be a craft distiller.

EXPLORE BOTANICALS

With the Ginfluencer Teaser Experience or Full Gin Experience, Ian encourages you to explore and taste individually distilled botanicals so that you understand your own preferred flavour profile.

YOUR PERFECT G&T

With the Ginfluencer Full Experience, you will also get to blend your own perfect G&T using the botanicals you tasted, with the help of Ian's expertise and can even order your own bottle to take home!

RIDE HOME!

Ian is pretty generous so please make sure you have a driver organised who will not be taking part in the experience to get you home! Witley is the closest train station and on the London to Portsmouth line (40 min walk).

THE GINFLUENCER GIN EXPERIENCE

When you join us for a Ginfluencer experience, you will learn from our expert distiller and founder of the Village Spirit Collective, Ian. You will have the opportunity to create a unique gin that is completely bespoke to you and your taste buds as you embark on a journey of discovery at our distillery in Hambledon, Surrey.

The day begins with a welcome drink - a generous glug of our signature gin accompanied by the perfect tonic and garnish to awaken your senses and get you in the mood to uncover the hidden secrets of gin.

You will be taken on a tour of our craft distillery to understand the process of creating and bottling the perfect gin. Seeing first hand the distillation process and learning from Ian about the nuances of the process that all contribute to the finished product.

Then, the tasting begins! You will sample over twenty different botanicals, first by scent and then by taste, to engage all of your senses in the process of understanding and creating your ideal flavour combinations. Will you like the floral scents of elderflower or rose or the zesty citrus of lemon or grapefruit. You will be taught the flavour wheel of gin production and how you can match different botanicals to create wildly different results.

Finally, when you have scored your botanicals and ranked them in order of preference, you will begin the process of creating your own unique gin. Layering the botanicals to create flavour combinations you never thought possible, to find the perfect balance to suit your individual tastes.

You will have the opportunity to purchase a bottle of your unique gin creation at this stage, before calling your ride home and leaving us beaming from ear to ear and more than a little merry after your fun filled experience. Despite the amount of gin you are very likely to consume, we promise you won’t forget this experience!
